The UK Oil and Gas Supply Chain - a jewel in
the crown!
Secretary of State for Scotland, the Rt
Hon Jim Murphy MP, has been confirmed as the principal speaker at the Oil &
Gas UK Supply Chain Conference.
The conference will take place on
Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference
Centre. It is an event with a difference in that it has been developed by
the industry for the industry and aims to attract around 400 delegates from
both within and outside the oil and gas sector.
The event
will examine the compelling case for a long term sustainable supply chain
anchored in the
UK -
serving the
UK
but also as a centre of excellence for export. A strong speaker line-up has
been secured, comprising high profile senior executives from a broad range of
supply chain organisations across the sector. Additionally, conference
delegates will hear about best practice from other sectors including
defence, construction and government.

UK Continental Shelf (UKCS) oil and gas supply chain

The enormous contribution that the UKCS
supply chain makes to the economy and the importance to the supply chain

being promoted in the UKCS, to streamline and make supply chain activity
more efficient and cost effective

The conference will also have an interactive
element where delegates will be able to ask questions and discuss key points
during panel sessions with the speakers.
