LNG (Liquified Natural Gas)

What is LNG?

LNG or liquefied natural gas is gas which has been cooled until it becomes liquid (-1610C). It is stored in insulated metal tanks.

LNG technology is not new but it is becoming an increasingly economic means of transporting gas to remote markets. There are already new import and gasification terminals planned for the Isle of Grain and Milford Haven.
